Your ASD kiddos are probably not exactly ok right now. That’s to be expected, what with all the underlying stress and disruption to routines. There’s probably going to be a major increase in stimming behaviors. I think in instances like these, it’s ok to let it happen, at least to some degree. Here’s my Crash, just zoned out watching sand slide through his fingers. He’s been here for a long time, picking up handfuls of sand and letting them run down onto his legs. I guarantee when he’s done he’ll be a lot happier. Let them regulate themselves. It’ll be better for everyone! #stimming #survival #asd #autism
